- You can also bring images into the newer version of Lightroom. This is available as both a desktop and a mobile application. Let me show you how we'll start here in the desktop app. First, I'll bring in a new photo. I'll add pictures here and just browse. Let's go to the desktop and I'll open up that exercise file folder and bring in folder two. There they all are. Let's go ahead and add them and I'll click OK. Now, let's go to the all photos view here and I'm just going to type in Lr and search. There it is. Open up this file. You also might find it under your recently added images. Now, we can go to the edit controls. These controls are effectively the same, it's just a slightly more modern user interface although the controls are the exact same names.
