Start, stop, and restart VMs
- [Instructor] Microsoft Azure makes it easy to start, stop and restart virtual machine instances. So let's take a look at how this works. Right now I'm signed into Azure and I'm on the main portal screen. So I'm just going to click on virtual machines. And when I do, you can see that I have a virtual machine called Example. You can see that virtual machine right here. So let's suppose that for whatever reason we want to stop this virtual machine. We don't actually have to log into the virtual machine to do that. Instead, I'm simply going to select the virtual machine by selecting the checkbox, and then I'll click on the stop icon. When I do, I see a message asking me if I want to stop the selected virtual machines. And then it says that "This operation will stop all the virtual machines selected below." I'll go ahead and click yes, and take a look at the status column. Right now, the status column indicates a status of…
