- [Instructor] When you create an Azure virtual machine, you need a way of keeping tabs on that virtual machine to make sure that it's working properly. Fortunately, Microsoft provides numerous monitoring and alerting mechanisms that you can use to monitor your virtual machine. So let's take a look at what's available. As you can see, I'm on the create a virtual machine screen, and I've already filled out all of the fields on the basics tab, so I'm going to skip ahead to the monitoring tab. Now, there are three different options on the monitoring tab. Starting at the bottom, we have an option to enable Guest OS diagnostics. When enabled, this option helps you to make sure that the operating system on the virtual machine is working properly. And if you want to enable guest OS diagnostics, then all you have to do is select the checkbox, and then choose your storage account. You have the option of creating a new storage…
