- [Instructor] This course is designed for anyone who wants a hands-on introduction to prototyping machine learning applications on devices with embedded microcontrollers. We begin with a brief introduction to machine learning concepts. This is followed by a quick overview of prototyping and a plan for the prototype we'll build during the course. After this setup, we'll dive in and download an easy to use development environment and connect to our development board. Finally, we'll dive into the mechanics of building a learning model with a tool called Edge Impulse and use it to complete our prototype. The course doesn't assume any background in machine learning, and I'll try to explain the necessary concepts when needed. The prototype itself requires programming a microcontroller. If you have some background with programming, especially with microcontrollers on a platform like Arduino, it will be easy to understand, however all of the programming steps are explained.
