- [Speaker] Whether you want to create custom layouts, build diagrams, or draw attention to key content. Mastering shapes will help you design more visually engaging slides. Let's start with how to insert shapes. Go to the insert tab, click on shapes, and select the shape you want. You'll notice a variety of options including basic shapes, arrows, callouts, and more. I'm going to select a circle. As I draw it in, I'm going to hold down the shift key so that I draw a perfect circle rather than an oval. This is also how you would draw a perfect square or a straight line. To resize the shape. Drag its handlebars in or out. Notice I'm not holding shift so I can create an oval here. Holding down shift forces it to remain a circle. Alternatively, you can type in the exact dimensions you want up here in the size menu.
