Create a professional PowerPoint presentation from scratch
- [Instructor] When you open up a PowerPoint, you are presented with a start menu. This is where you can choose what type of presentation you want to create. You can choose the default Office theme here with blank, or choose among other Office themes. To browse those themes, go to new. If your organization has created and saved custom Office themes to your computer, you will find them here in a folder called customs. I don't have any, so it's blank for me here. To launch a new presentation, select a theme or search for one. I'm going to select training presentation. When I click on it, I'm given some information about this theme. I'll go ahead and click on create. Notice that PowerPoint's main interface opens up, and we have several prebuilt slides with content on them. The first thing you'll want to do before you add content is to determine what slide size you need. For most situations, these widescreen dimensions will be best.
