Challenge: Create a Power BI dashboard from Excel data
(upbeat music) - [Instructor] For this challenge, let's get you a little more comfortable working with measures and visualizations in Power BI. This table contains the team's table in Sean Lahman's baseball database, which includes yearly statistics and standings for baseball teams, such as records for wins, losses, runs scored, and attendance. Now we're going to do a couple of Moneyballesque things with this data set and build a basic dashboard. First, I want us to look at stolen base percentages. This measure tells us the efficiency of a team's base stealing attempts. It represents the percentage of successful steals out of all steel attempts. A higher stolen base percentage, or SBP, indicates that a team is more effective at stealing bases. We can find SBP by taking the sum of SB and dividing it by the sum of SB plus the sum of CS in the team's table. You can create this measure either in Excel Power Pivot and port it over to Power BI or just import the data into Power BI and…
