Invert a selection
- [Instructor] Sometimes it's easier to select the opposite of what you want to work on and then invert your selection. That's what I'll show you how to do in this movie. And along the way, you'll learn how to make a circular cutout of a face, which is something you might want to use in your own social media or as a sticker. For this movie, we're using the image as it looked at the end of the last movie, plus I've added a blank layer at the top of the layer stack on which we're going to create a fill from the selection we'll make. So now let's use a different selection tool. This time we'll try the elliptical marquee tool. It works a lot like the rectangular marquee tool that we looked at in the last movie. Go to the toolbar, click and hold on the rectangular marquee tool and choose the Elliptical Marquee Tool from the flyout menu. With this tool, you can draw oval selections like this, or like this, or you can draw a perfectly circular selection like this. And that's what we're going…
