Create a new image document from scratch
- [Instructor] Another way to start a project in Photoshop is to make a new blank document and fill it with something new, whether that's a design or a painting, or even a generated image. For example, let's say that you're planning a vertical Instagram post and you know the dimensions that are best for a vertical image on Instagram. To start a new file for that, you can either go to the File menu at the top of the screen and choose New, or if you're on the Home screen, you can click the New file button. That opens the New Document window where there are categories of presets at the top. There are presets for new photo-related documents, new print documents, art documents, and so on. I'm going to choose the Photo category, and to view all the presets in any category, you can click View All Presets. So I'm going to go with the first one here, Default Photoshop Size, and when I click that, it fills in the details over here on the right. Most of these details are just fine for any image…
