- [Instructor] So we've got our pads in place but we still don't have a lot of information here in our definition of our board's footprint. What's still missing is some information to help the manufacturer or the assembler know how the part should be oriented and which parts they are. Now the assembler could be you and me. The assembler also could be a board house if you want to get fancy and have them put the entire thing together for you. In either case, we need to leave behind some instructions about how this thing goes together. So to do that, we'll be putting markings on a couple of different layers. So far we have these red pads and those are pieces of exposed metal on the top layer. Now I'm going to go all the way down to layer number 51 which is tDocu, or top documentation. The other thing I'll establish is that my grid is set to the correct amount. So .05 millimeters is what we want to be working with.
