Using software workflows
- [Instructor] In the previous learning JIRA Cloud and learning JIRA data center courses, I showed how to transition items in a workflow so you can keep status in sync with reality. In this course, we'll talk about how workflows are typically used and configured specifically in software projects. But first, here are some definitions to know. A workflow is a visual representation of a process. It contains a sequence of standard steps that each item must go through to be completed. Each step of the process is represented by a status which describes a current state. Transitions are used to move items forward or backward in the process. Finally, workflow transitions have what I call behaviors. Atlassian sometimes calls these rules or workflow extensions.
