Board overview
- [Instructor] As previously discussed, a board is a status-based view of items from one or more Jira projects. It's an easy way to see the status of many items at the same time. When work is ready to start, drag an item from the To Do column to the In Progress column in this view or open the individual item to transition it to another step in the workflow. Items on a board are displayed in vertical columns grouped by workflow status. Swimlanes group items horizontally in rows, however. This provides an additional way to collapse and expand data. Finally, quick filters further segment items. You can add your own quick filters and swimlanes with JQL queries. We created a simple board in the Learning Jira course.
