Creating slices

- [Instructor] Creating slices in the point cloud let's us see specific areas that are aligned to your Auto CAD UCS. For example, we can create slices that allow us to see just the floor or just the ceiling as they run parallel to the xy axis in your UCS. Or we can create a slice that runs parallel to your yz axis that might show us the walls or structural steel elevations. Again, this is a feature that you'll likely need to see to understand, so let's go play a little. So when we work with the point cloud, you'll see that the UCS, this is a typical Auto CAD UCS where we have our x, y, and z. And this is set to over here we have our world coordinate system. And this is basically world coordinate system, and this is aligns to our view cube as being vertical, horizontal, and our z elevation.
