- [Instructor] In order to get up and running with WordPress, I suggest you make a few edits in the settings before you actually begin creating any content. This is the way in which I prefer to use WordPress, and I'll augment these things prior to actually creating any content. The first thing I'll do is I'll go to the settings tab, and I'm going to go to general. Here in the general settings, you can specify the site title, which has already been populated for us when we set up our site in local. I'm going to change my tagline to read gardens under glass. And then down near the bottom part of the screen, I'm going to change my date format to display with a numeric month, day and year. The time format looks good, as well as my work week starting on Monday. I'll click save changes. The next thing that I suggest you do is you go to the permalink section.
