PCB 2D and 3D views
- [Instructor] While running through our PCB designs within Altium Designer, it might sometimes be useful to change into different views, say maybe a 3D view of my board here. So very simple to do. I can just navigate over to the View dropdown. Currently, of course, I'm in my 2D Layout Mode, but if I'd like, I could switch into 3d Layout Mode. This gives me a nice 3D view of my board here, and I can navigate in this by holding down the Shift key, and then if I right mouse button click on this orb that will appear, I can kind of rotate around my 3D object here. So as we can see, we can get a good idea of what my board may look like in a 3D design sense. Of course, when I'm actually building up my board, most likely, I'll want to be in the 2D layouts. So just the same, I would go back to my View dropdown and go back into my 2D Layout Mode.
