Using the exercise files
- [Instructor] I structured this course with your active learning in mind, and my goal is that you have an opportunity to install the software, run the commands, and create the files right alongside me. I'd like to provide a little context on the files you'll create by hand, as well as those you'll copy and paste from the exercise files. Once you've installed Helm and deployed a third party chart, you will use the Helm command line tool to generate your own Helm chart. The boilerplate chart includes lots of files and I'll guide you through how to edit those. If you follow my instructions, you'll be good to go. I've also created a set of exercise files meant to be a resource for you. The files are in a GitHub repo and they are organized by chapter number and video number. The first set of exercise files are for chapter three, video three. When you open any of those folders, you'll see files that have begin and end in the name. The files with begin in their name, show the file as it is at the beginning of the video, and those with end at their name, reflect all of the changes that I make throughout that lesson. In some instances, I'll demonstrate how to copy and paste the exercise files in a video, but in other instances, I won't mention the files, but they still exist. Please use them as you need them, they're a resource I created for you.
