Importing, exporting, and backing up

Let's take a break from workflow building so we can back up what we've created so far. Now there's no such thing as too many backups. I'm constantly backing up and exporting Jira settings so I can have a copy for safekeeping, or to import into another Jira application. In Jira server or data center, there's a specific function to import single workflows. Access it from the workflows page in the application admin area. You can import workflows in Atlassian proprietary JWB format or in XML format. There is no similar import function for Jira Cloud, but you can import public workflows from the Atlassian marketplace. Access this option from the workflows page in the application admin area. I'll select the first item in the list as an example. The Import Wizard collects a custom workflow name and asks me to map workflow statuses to statuses in my application.
