- [Instructor] For a reliable and secure setup in ServiceNow, we need to understand how non-functional aspects affect that setup. There are a handful of non-functional elements, performance, reliability, security, accessibility, and industry-standard compliance. We'll start with performance and reliability. As a cloud-based solution, ServiceNow has high availability. This means it's designed with built-in redundancy and failover features to ensure minimum impact to its users. This massively reduces any downtime of the tool. If you intend to ramp up and increase modules used within ServiceNow, it's highly scalable and can have many people using the tool at one time. Performance is also monitored to identify opportunities for improving the tool's performance. From a security perspective, you can set up what's called road RBAC, role-based access control.
