Adding custom fonts
- [Instructor] We've created the main structure of our theme, great. The next step is to give it some style. We'll start by taking a bit of a detour out of the site editor. The starter theme we created includes a system font by default. We'll keep that from most of our text, but let's select a different font to use for headings. From our WordPress dashboard, we will navigate to Appearance and then Manage Theme Fonts. You'll see a number of options here. You can see that we already have our system font installed. We can preview our fonts in a number of ways with Sentence, Heading, or Paragraph. We can change the demo text, the font size, and then we can reset it back to the defaults. We have options to either Add Google fonts or a Local Font file should you have one. We're going to use the Add Google Font option. On the Google font screen, we can select a font that we like.
