- [Speaker] I've always felt that learning new skills in a realistic context has helped me a lot. Our journey with BigQuery will be no different. Before we get stuck into the BigQuery and Google Cloud setup, let me introduce you to the client case study we'll be working on together. Wisdom Pets Medicine is an e-commerce business, established in 2019, specializing in supplements, treatment packages, and vaccines for cats and dogs. Wisdom Pets began with retail customers only, before eventually expanding their offering to provide wholesale bulk-buy quantities of the same products for other businesses. We've been brought in by the Wisdom Pets team to bring their raw CSV data sets into BigQuery, as part of the company's digital transformation project. We'll help them load the data and also better understand their product and sales performance. We'll be working with a range of data sets, including product information, such as product IDs, names, price, and customer ratings. We'll also see some customer data, for both retail and wholesale clients. And, finally, we'll explore some sales transactions with product and quantity information. We'll also be performing lots of data analysis to help the Wisdom Pets team, but there's definitely no need to be intimidated. We'll step through each data set, and build up our BigQuery skills to confidently solve some challenge questions as we progress through this project together. But first, let's see how we can set up our tech environment and start our hands-on practical work with BigQuery.
