- Choosing the right AI agent starts with knowing what you need it to do and which tools or platforms are available for you to use. AI agents perform best when they have a clear objective and an outcome that you can review. Instead of saying, "Help with marketing," say, "Draft a 200-word email campaign promoting our new Ultra-Paint 2000 to existing customers in contract manufacturing." The clearer your goal, the more specific the output. Now think about the tool. Your company may offer access to specific agentic AI platforms like Microsoft Copilot or Salesforce Agentforce. Or you might be working with agents built into other tools you already use. And if your organization doesn't use AI yet, experiment with a few tools like Make.com or n8n, making sure you're allowed to test them. Oftentimes, you'll need your tech department to make sure you have the security permission set properly to keep your private data private.…
