- We've already covered some of the broad conversational functions, but I'll now describe some case studies to make the ideas we've learned more tangible and highlight the business value conversational AI can bring to the table. I'll touch on examples in hospitality and e-commerce and suggest a list of other areas of opportunity. Like many other companies in the hospitality industry, one medium-sized US hotel chain was struggling to meet a surge of customer demand after the pandemic. The customer service team needed a way to stem the fact that over half the customers were hanging up while on hold.
