- In this lesson, we'll briefly walk through a five part framework that I use to make sense of conversational AI platforms. They are NLP model, channels, integrations, visual design interface, and deployment features. These categories will help you when you're looking at the different types of conversational AI. First, universal to every conversational AI platform is an NLP model. They are the brains behind the platform. No matter what, this should be an area of close investigation in your research. Models can be compared by metrics, like accuracy and intent recognition, as well as ability to handle accents or multiple languages. They should also be capable of multiturn dialogues which we'll cover later. Second, the NLP model will ultimately be built for one or more channels of interaction.
