- Conversational AI communicates with us in two main ways, through text and through voice. And now apparently through video avatars. We'll focus on text and voice. Chat AI, the text side, shows up everywhere. It might be a little pop-up on a website, an SMS message, a WhatsApp conversation, or a built-in chat inside your company's service platform. Each channel has its own personality. For instance, website chat would be more formal using complete sentences. Text or WhatsApp is more fast, casual, and often, with lowercase everything. And these days, many of these aren't pure bots anymore. They're copilots. They sit next to a human agent in a CRM or help desk tool, suggesting answers, pulling customer history instantly, and even performing actions on the agent's behalf.
