How to innovate using human-centered AI design
- [Speaker] Can you imagine how autonomous vehicles work with humans? Write your thoughts in a notepad. Those are all great ideas that you have written on. First, the AI in autonomous vehicles is trained by humans. So there are engineers, data scientists, product managers, and autonomous vehicle test drivers. This is similar to building AI in any industry. You collect training data, test and build AI. You check for bias and mitigate it and feature engineer or remove hallucinations to improve the AI's performance. Next, there is the customer. In a self-driving car, it could be you taking a ride in a Waymo. Who gets to design the in-car experience to make the passenger trust the autonomous vehicles or AV and feel safe and comfortable? There is voice in car cameras and sometimes, there is augmented reality in the car. All this comes with data. You, as the designer, gets to innovate the human experience in the car.
