- [Instructor] Dealing with rejection or having ideas refused can be challenging for analysts as it can be disheartening to see their efforts and ideas not being accepted, but the reality is as smart as we might be, we aren't the only smart people we work with. I know, gasp, and let's compound on that. We don't always get our way. Now, that's a lesson we probably learned in our younger days and maybe we've forgotten how to handle this situation. Well, here are some strategies that analysts can use to effectively cope with rejection or refusal of their ideas. First, and I can't stress this enough and know that when I say this, it comes from experience, also known as mistakes, but you need to manage your emotions. Rejection can trigger various emotions such as frustration, disappointment, or self-doubt, maybe even rage. It's important to acknowledge and accept these emotions but also avoid reacting impulsively or emotionally.…
