Shading a Live Paint object with gradients

- [Instructor] In this movie, we'll add highlights and shadows to our live paint object using custom gradients. All right, so the first step is to make sure the top layer is selected and then click on the fly out menu icon in the top right corner of the layers panel. And choose duplicate, in my case, not Mobius. Then I'll go ahead and double-click on this new layer in order to bring up the layer options dialog box. I'll name this layer gradients, and I'll change its color to, let's say violet and click OK. All right, now I'll go ahead and turn off the not Mobius layer in order to protect it. And click anywhere on the live paint object to select the entire thing. And then go up to the object menu and choose expand. And at this point, it's not going to do you any good to turn on and off check boxes, so just go ahead and click OK. All right, now notice that we've expanded our live paint object into a static group, as we can see…
