Moving and copy objects between layers

- [Instructor] In this movie, I'll show you a few different ways to move objects between layers inside illustrator. So for example, the first thing I want to do is take my signature and move it onto the SIG layer. So notice that the text layer is currently active. If I were to click on my signature, I not only switch automatically to the body layer, but I can see a purple outline surrounding my signature that corresponds to the purple color assigned to the body layer. I also have this little purple square that represents the selected art. And so if I were to drag that square down, notice I can see a tan square as soon as I release my purple square disappears and I'm now seeing a tan border around my text. Another way to work is to copy an object as you move it to a different layer. So let's say I click on the horn right here, which once again, lives on the body layer.
