Drawing with the Grid tools
- [Narrator] Illustrator has two grid tools for drawing. So let's start out here with the rectangular grid tool, and you'll see that as I click and drag here, I have a grid being formed. Now I can change the number of dividers using the arrow keys on the keyboard. So the up and down arrow keys add more or less horizontal lines. The right and left arrow keys will add more or less vertical lines. There's a rectangle around the outside here, and actually, when you release and draw this, you're actually creating a special kind of group with a rectangle around the outside and individual line segments inside. But this is a super useful tool for a lot of different applications. So don't be dismissive of it. It's very, very handy. You'll know when it's appropriate to use it and it's super handy. Holding down Shift will constrain that to a regular shape. And again here, if you wanted to draw something from the center…
