Earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) on LinkedIn Learning
- LinkedIn Learning makes it easy to keep your professional certifications current while learning new skills by offering select courses that qualify for continuing education units or CEUs. Over 3,000 LinkedIn learning courses are eligible for continuing education credits and are recognized by organizations such as PMI, NASBA, IIBA, CompTIA, and more. Let's dive into how to find these courses and understand how to earn and showcase the continuing education unit. Let's take a look. From the home screen, I'm going to go ahead and click on Certifications. And just a note, that this is one way to find all the Continuing Education unit qualified courses. If I scroll to the bottom, you'll see a section called Continuing Education or CEU. And you'll see some of the partners that we offer here, like PMI, IIBA, and others. But if I want to show all, I click on the Show All button. And now, a new browse page will open up. And you can see who all these certifying partners are above. Or, you can scroll below to see that we have over 2,000 courses that qualify. I'm going to go ahead and click on PMI, because I would like to see all the courses that we have on LinkedIn learning where I can earn continuing education units or in the case of PMI, PDUs for these courses. So, I have now scrolled down and I'm clicking on Learning Program Management. This is a course that I have already completed, and I'd like to show you what the certificate of completion looks like for one of these courses because it's a little different. Now, if I scroll below the video player, you will see that there's some information here about what CEUs this course will qualify for. So, I'll see that NASPA is the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy, and this qualifies for that certification body. And also PMI, so I can earn 0.75 PDU hours if I complete this course. Now, I've already done that, and I want to point out that the certificate of completion, there are a few different versions. There is the regular LinkedIn Learning Certificate of Completion, and then there's a PMI Certificate of Completion, and in this case, there's another one, which is for NASBA. Now, NASBA has a special requirement, which requires me to pass an exam with a score of at least 70%, and in this case, I haven't done that yet, which is why that option is not showing. But I have completed everything else which qualifies me for PMI, and I can download the PDF to show you what this certificate of completion looks like. You will notice a few things that are different about this certificate of completion. In the bottom left hand corner, you'll see that this is an authorized training partner qualified course, and it has PMI's logo at the very bottom left. You'll also see at the bottom of the page that there are some additional information about the PMI Registered Education Provider program with their ID and their activity number, as well as the PDUs. Now, you may need this special certificate of completion to show to your employer that you've completed this course, or to submit these officially for PDUs for your certification. LinkedIn Learning makes it easy to keep learning continuously while maintaining your certification through our many CEU eligible courses. I recommend not waiting until the last minute to recertify, set small goals regularly to learn, and you'll easily hit your recertification requirements in no time!
