- [Instructor] At the center of any course is a video player which is packed with features to help you customize your video viewing experience. Let's take a look at each one of these features. I'm going to start off in the top left hand corner and I'm going to show you how you can either collapse or expand the table of contents. You'll see there's this X and if I click on it, I can collapse the table of contents, and if I want to get it back at any point in time, I can click in the top left to bring it back. For the sake of this video, I'm going to click on the X so that we can focus on the rest of the video player settings. Now, next to the table of contents, you'll see there's some information here about the course, including the title of the course, and then the title of the particular video that I happen to be watching. If I go to the top right, I can like this course, and you'll see that over 43,000 have already done that. I can also save or unsave this course if I want to view it later. If I click on the plus, I can add it to my content. There's options for learning paths or adding it to a collection that I've already created, and I will talk more about collections in another video. If I click on an arrow in the top right to share this content, I can recommend or assign the video or course, I can share it in a post on LinkedIn, copy a link, or share it to any other number of social media platforms. In the bottom left hand corner, you'll see some other video player controls, including play or pause, skip ahead or skip back. I can also jump to the next video or go back. There is also a timestamp which shows me exactly where I am within this particular video. In the bottom right, you'll see the first setting is playback speed, and if I click here, I can either slow down the speed or speed it up. Next is captions, and you'll see that I currently have English on, but you can select any number of other languages if you'd like to watch it in another language. There are video settings, which include turning on or off continuous play so that the video moves automatically to the next video in the course. You can also change the quality of the video and adjust your keyboard shortcuts. Next is volume control. You can mute the volume or turn it up or turn it down. And finally, you can make the player go from full screen if you want to look at a bigger picture or reduce it. To make the most of your learning experience, take a moment to get familiar with the features built into the LinkedIn Learning player. Understanding how they work will help you learn more, efficiently, and effectively.
