- Google Gemini is available as a mobile app for Android devices, iPhones, and iPads. The mobile app offers most of the features that we've seen on the Gemini website, but there's one big feature in the mobile app that the website does not have. The Gemini Live feature lets you have natural conversations with your voice. It feels almost like calling Gemini on the phone and having a conversation. On an iPhone or an iPad, you can install the Gemini app and use it like most other apps, but on an Android device, the first time you launch Gemini, it will ask if you want to use Gemini instead of the standard Google assistant that's built into Android. If you switch to Gemini, you can trigger it the same way you used to activate the Google assistant, including the voice trigger. Here in the app, you can open the menu at the top to choose the Gemini model that you want to use. In the chat field at the bottom, you can ask a question.
