Generating with AI Assistant in Rise
- [Instructor] Alright, so whether you're building a lesson from scratch or you're trying to enhance an existing lesson with additional material, the Generate Block feature is a fantastic way to quickly draft and refine your lesson content. So let me show you how that works. So I'm here in this course on running effective meetings. This is my lesson. I've got all this great content here, but what I don't have actually is a step-by-step for running a meeting. So here's where I need some help from AI Assistant. So here's how it's going to work. Up in the top, you'll see the AI Assistant menu. And what I want to do is I want to generate a block. So first off, you'll see that you have a topic field. We could just enter the topic that we're looking for and pull from general knowledge, or we could use the source content. So if I click this, I can choose the source content from either or both of these, like this lesson. Because I already have lesson content in here, it probably makes sense to pull from what I have. So from this lesson, you can see all 9 blocks are selected. If I didn't want all of those, I could come down through here and just choose the blocks that I like. And I noticed real quick that the video is currently not supported. So it's not going to pull any content here from that video, but I'll just choose everything here since this content is all related to running meetings. And then if I had source documents, PDS, PowerPoints, I could upload those. So if I select that, I can choose File. And in my meeting resources folder, I'm just going to go ahead and select all three of these. If I had the other types of documents like PowerPoint or text files, I could also select those and just choose Open. And that's going to upload those docs. So just take a moment here. So what I'm doing is by using the lesson content, then uploading some source documents, I'm narrowing AI Assistant's focus on this relevant material. If I had nothing, that's fine too, because I could still... I'm going to save this real quick. Just enter that topic. And AI Assistant's going to pull from general knowledge. But notice right here, the suggested topics based on the material. Well, I still don't see steps for running a meeting, so I'm going to enter my own title, my own topic, steps for running an effective meeting. Go and click Enter. And here's where we have the type of block we want to create. Now, these are the current blocks that are supported. I think in this case, because I'm talking about steps for running a meeting, that's more of a process, a step by step. So the process actually fits the best here, but you can see the different types of blocks that you have access to. So I'll say, "Process," and here we go. Now, the first result is just the outline for the step-by-step. Now, I could accept this and use this outline, and then AI Assistant's going to generate the content. Or I could further refine this outline. I'd say let's add a tips and tricks step, something like that, something general. So go ahead and hit Enter again, and then there we go. So now we have the step-by-step along with some tips and tricks. I'm going to say, "Use the outline," and now the content's going to be generated for each of those steps. Again, I'm always in control. There's always this back and forth with AI Assistant rather than just, you know, type something in and all of a sudden everything's generated. You can continue to refine and revise as needed. I'm going to go ahead and accept all of this and just choose Insert Block. And check that out. There is my process block. Now, just like any other process block in Rise, I can fully edit this, right? I can just come up and choose Edit the Content, and add media, record audio, just like any other other process block that you've worked with. Only in this case, the content was automatically generated for us using the Generate Block feature.
