- Now let's go ahead and talk about splines. So if we come over here to our menu bar, go to create, come down to spline, and you'll see that there's two splines. You have the fit point spline and a control point spline. Now, you'll see that the fit point spline is by default in my menu bar actually I use both of these quite a bit, but let's start with the fit point spline. So the spline tools are really great at creating splines, which is basically a curved line segment. So we can create points here and it basically creates a line that drives through those points; and what's different about all of these spline tools, is that the way you control the spline is what's different. Now you see here, we have all of these points that we selected and each of them, the spline, is going through each of those points; and in each of those points, we have some controls.
