There was an instance in the not too distant past where I was really proud of how I was able to incorporate empathy into the design that I was putting together for a specific training program. This particular company, there was a bit of a disconnect from the bottom to the top, and my first inclination, and the first thing I did was to go talk to these folks with boots on the ground. You know, the front line folks of this company. And I went, hey, this is what's being prescribed, and I just want to talk to you to see what the best way to deliver this sort of experience would be, in a way that helps bridge this gap that we're trying to bridge. And, you know, I'm so glad I did, because talking to these learners, it turns out that this was the wrong prescription for this problem. So how do you uncover knowledge gaps in situations like this?
