Hiding tabs and making models readable
- [Instructor] In Excel, oftentimes you wanna hide extra information that other users don't necessarily need to see. It helps to make more complex models simpler and easier to read. Let's take a look at an example. I'm in the 05_06_Begin Excel file. So we have here our financial model, and it's somewhat complex, right? Links the 3-statement, the DCF, and the LBO model together. And so we've added some features to kind of make this a little easier to read. We can flip between hiding and showing various rows, for example, right, that users may or may not care about. And essentially what that's doing is hiding stuff like this where maybe we don't necessarily need to see those years. And I can do this with any set of rows or columns that I'm interested in. For instance, we are hiding the components that go into the income statement, getting from gross profit down to our operating expenses. Maybe I wanna do something…
