- [Instructor] In this movie, we're going to look at creating smart collections for clips. And before we do, it's important to differentiate between smart collections and keyword collections. So taking a note the few things about keyword collections, we can create keyword collections from folders or tags, as we saw in the Import movie, and then in Final Cut, we can associate a clip with a keyword collection by going to the File menu, clicking on the key icon, or even doing this through the use of keyboard shortcuts, and whether that be applied to the entire clip or a portion of a clip, but in this instance, we're applying it to a name that we decide on. It's not based on information that's already stamped on the clip or what is otherwise known as metadata.
