- [Narrator] I really like the Google definition of ambiguity, the quality of being open to more than one interpretation. I mean, imagine turning up to a house and not knowing where the front door is, by the way, this has happened to me and it's darn annoying. In the context of a spreadsheet such as this one, ambiguity means not knowing what the cell means or is being used for. For example, is this cell over here text or numerical? And if it is numerical, is it a calculation or a direct input? I suggest you open the exercise file for this movie to follow along with me, the purchase price of 8500 certainly feels like it's numerical. And in fact, so to all the cells here in column C, so let's go ahead and change the cell formatting by selecting all of the cells and then clicking on the accounting number format over here.
