Quickly update data with Find and Replace
- [Instructor] Imagine it's New Year and you want to change all your dates in your Excel spreadsheets, but don't want to do it all manually. Select all the cells you want to change, and then hit CTRL plus H on your keyboard. You'll have this window that pops and you want to be in the Replace tab. In the Find what box, you will enter 2024, and then we want to replace it with, well, 2025, and then we're going to click on Replace All. Excel gives you this popup, All done. We made 12 replacements. Hurray. Click OK, but now let's say you have multiple sheets in this workbook. As you can see here, we have different sheets, they all have 2024 still. So, what can we do? In this window here, we can click on Options, and then we can ask Excel to make a search within the whole workbook, and then we're going to click once again on Replace All, and as you can see, Excel made 24 replacements.
