Quickly fill data series in Excel
- [Narrator] To create patterns or quickly fill data in Excel, position your mouse on the lower right end corner of a cell. Your cursor should turn into a black crosser. In this case, we have Monday, and we want all the days of the week. We don't want to type them all, so what we do is just click and drag down the lower right hand corner until we have all of our days, and we release. And here we go. We can do the same with the month of the year. In this second example here, we can go horizontally. Here we go. And in this third example right here, we can make a pattern with numbers. As you can see, I have number 1 right here in cell F1. I'm just going to type 2 real quick in this cell right here. And I'm going to select both of these numbers, and I'm going to take my lower right hand corner, drag it down, and as you can see, Excel is just going to write a sequence of numbers. Super cool.
