In this final module, we're going to pick up where we left off in the example where you are a professional employee in a consulting firm, and your nephew has just applied for an AI job at the company. In the previous module, we identified the real and perceived conflict of interest, and now we need to evaluate how serious these are. The end goal of this assessment is to figure out whether the threats related to the competing interests can be mitigated and reduced to an acceptable level by putting safeguards in place, or whether the conflict simply needs to be eliminated all together. To evaluate how serious the conflict of interest is, you can use the risk matrix approach that you're most likely already familiar with from a different context.
