Setting up your editing workspace
- Now before we dive into editing, let's set up your workspace so you can edit smoothly and efficiently. Organize your layout first. Now, CapCut allows you to customize your workspace layout depending on your editing style. So to change your layout, click on the layout setting at the top and choose between Default, Media, Attributes or Vertical. So if you are working on short-form, vertical content like TikToks or Instagram Reels, so make sure to choose the vertical layout, because the player is set to 9-to-16 aspect ratio. Then we have keyboard shortcuts. So customizing your keyboard shortcuts can make editing much faster and more intuitive for you. So to set up or change your shortcuts, go to the Shortcuts menu in CapCut. From there, you can modify existing shortcuts or create new ones based on your workflow.
