Using scatter brush textures

- [Voiceover] I've shown you how to add textures to your final vector brush illustration, but I also want to show you how to use a specific brush to add textures as well. Now I've kind of given you a sneak peak of this when I was working on the pear texture with the Scatter Brush. We're gonna approach the Scatter Brush again. Now the Scatter Brush is simply a random assortment, in this case, of little specks that have been vectorized. If I zoom in on this, you can see what that looks like here. Very easy to create. Actually you can create your base art using, once again, an old toothbrush and some India ink on paper, scan it in, and just kind of compose it in Photoshop to make a nice kind of shape of little elements and artifacts. Then you just simply bring that high res TIF into Illustrator, Image Trace it, and you have art like this that you can turn into a Scatter Brush. So I want to show you how we're gonna use a scatter brush like this to add some nice texturing to this pencil…
