Creating linework with vector brushes
- [Voiceover] We're gonna take a look at linework brushes again because they play a big part in how you detail a vector painting. Not everything depends on the brushwork that you do with the paintbrush-looking brushes that you create and use. The smaller brushes, the linework brushes can play a big part in really bringing out certain details to improve an overall composition, illustration. I want to show you why that is and how that works. Now, your overall visual narrative doesn't have to be complicated or really detailed, for that matter. This is just simply a thumbnail sketch of a pencil I created. I created the base art. It uses all the same methodology I've gone over so far in the course, and that starts with creating your base art shapes, colorizing those base art shapes, working out your color composition. In this case for the pencil, once I have that established, I can use the linework brushes to add the linework to those shapes, which already start pushing it in the direction…
