Manage stress for clearer thinking
Managing stress helps you think clearly and lead better. Stress is part of the job. But when it builds up, clouds your thinking, slows your decisions, it affects your whole team. That's why managing stress isn't about feeling better, it's about working better. And let's start with awareness. When stress builds up, your body gives you signals. Tight shoulders, shallow breathing, racing thoughts. The first step is noticing when that's happening. Next, pause and reset. Even a few deep breaths can help. Inhale for four counts, hold for four, exhale for four. That quick reset slows your system down and gives your brain space to think. It also helps you reframe the stress. Ask yourself, what's the one thing I can control right now? That question brings focus and attention instead of overwhelm. Finally, build small habits that lower stress before it spikes. Stay hydrated. Do a walk by check with a teammate. Keep a short list of things that help you reset when things get loud or fast paced…
