- [Instructor] If you're brand new to Microsoft Defender for Endpoint on Windows or an existing administrator who wants to confirm you're following recommended practice, this course is for you. As you'll learn throughout the course, Defender for Endpoint is massive, offering both pre and post-breach capabilities. This course is going to focus on pre-breach architecture and configuration, so stopping the adversary before you need to enter the incident response phase. We will keep incident response and detection as out of scope. You may want to test, re-create, or otherwise follow along what we cover in the course. The license we'll focus on is Defender for Endpoint Plan 2. That's licensed per user or per server. When we come to deploying on servers, we're also going to look at something called Defender for Servers. Defender for Servers Plan 1 or Plan 2 will see you through what we cover in the course.
