- Creating a LUT with Photoshop is very simple. If you can do it with an adjustment layer, it can be turned into a LUT. To start, just open up an image. In this case, I've opened up one with a color checker which you'll learn more about later, just because it makes it easier to know what's happening. But this is an option and not one that you have to do. What we can do is start to add any adjustments as we see fit. For example, I could do an auto curve, or grab the on image tool here and make a slight tweak to really dial in the exposure. I can add a hue saturation adjudgment layer, and with that some on image tool, click on a color, to deemphasize, or emphasize it. So for example, more muted blues and darken them down a little. With the same adjustment layer, click on a skin tone, and increase the saturation and lift the lightness. Maybe I want to really bring out the golds here. Or roll the color temperature of the…
