Creating a LUT with 3D LUT Creator
- 3D LUT Creator is a standalone application designed to build luts. You can open up images in it and use them to inspire a lut or start entirely from scratch. I just want to show you a few my favorite features but the website has several other tools available. It is a little pricey but it is a nice tool if you really start to get into working with look up tables. You can download a demo from the manufacturer's website if you'd like to try this out. Now, what happens is you should load an image that you want to work with. You can choose file, open image and navigate to an image that you want to see. Now, what you can start to do is make adjustments. You'll find a wealth of tools here that allow you to start to modify and tweak the colors. You go in and sat sample points here and start to move. Doing a simple offset for example or switch to other tools such as advance curves. And you'll see all sorts of choices here as…
