- Now, generally speaking, it's a good idea when you set up your channel that you decide what information you're going to share. YouTube likes to share a lot of information about you as well as your browsing history or your playlist, and this might be useful for people who like your channel to see, or maybe not, because perhaps your music taste has nothing to do with your channel. Generally speaking, I think it's a pretty bad idea to share information about what you watch on YouTube with people who come and visit your channel. To adjust these things, we need to go under our Privacy settings. Let's double-check a few of our settings. From the menu here, I'll scroll down, and near the bottom, you'll see the Settings option. Choose that. You can decide under Notifications what you're alerted about. For example, I don't need to see recommended videos, nor do I want to see information about subscriptions that I'm subscribed to. But I do want to see when my content is being used, so I'll…
