Adding sections to a YouTube channel
- Besides using Playlist to organize your content, you can also use Sections. Sections are a way of cutting up the channel page into particular areas to focus on certain content, playlists, or other content that you really want to move to the top of the view. Now, Sections is an easy way to organize content and it allows you to promote certain things a little bit more easily by deciding where it fits on the page. To do this, just go to your channel, and then you'll see the ability to customize the channel. Now, you'll see all of the different layout options. Earlier, we talked about the ability to spotlight a video as part of a trailer or a featured video. But if I scroll down a little bit, you'll see different sections. I like to keep the For You section at the top because this allows YouTube to customize a playlist based upon what it thinks the visitor wants based on their viewing history, and this could be quite useful as it will really customize and try to surface the most likely…
